My fave bands are Duran Duran, Your Vegas, Linkin Park, Peter Murphy, Erasure and the Newsboys.  I know it is an interesting mix but I guess I am a little bit of an interesting mix myself.  In terms of those who's voice touches me in some way when they sing, I mean touches my soul, so to speak, it would have to be Coyle Girelli from Your Vegas, Peter Murphy of Bauhaus fame, Andy Bell from Erasure, Natalie Merchant of 10,000 Maniacs, and Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries.

My fave movies include Alice In Wonderland, and the original Willy Wonka.
When in a romantic mood I would have to say things like Titanic and A Walk in the Clouds, although that sounds very sappy.
I do enjoy a good comedy as well, I think that Sex and the City was pretty funny, as well as things like Knocked Up.

It is hard for me to really say too much about books because I am a teacher and where do I start.  Since I teach Science, I am constantly reading about that type of stuff for my classes, and then run out of time to really read for enjoyment.  Perhaps one day, while sitting on a beach somewhere, I can get that chance.

People of Interest:
I am not interested in being friends with a bunch of fake people, I like people that are supportive to your life goals and keep you with them.  The best friends that I have had in my life are just that way.  I believe in people giving to others and being kind.  My mother is just such a person, she is the most giving person that I have ever met, hopefully I will be able to live up to that example.

Places of Interest:
I am definately a traveler at heart and love to go to interesting places and see new things.  So far I have not traveled to too many places in my life, however am looking forward to doing more of it.  As far as countries go, I have been to France, Belgium, Ireland (the Republic), Scotland, England (sorry but my friends in England hate it when I lump countries under the UK umbrella), and Mexico.  In the United States, where I live, the major cities I have visited have been New York, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, and of course San Francisco.  funny thing is that the New York and Las Vegas were both part of my Duran Duran hobby.
One day I hope to visit The Dominican Republic, Italy, Greece and Russia.

Things of Interest:
Since May, I have been inspired by Your Vegas to learn to play some music, and have taken up the Electric Guitar withing the last 3 weeks.  When I put my mind to something I do it, so here is to the old teacher playing the electric guitar!!!

I do collect Duran Duran stuff, records, etc..., soon to be Your Vegas as well .

I love art, especially those great painters like Raphael, Van Eyck, DaVinci, Michaelangelo, I love the rich color, tone and general historical depictions of the time.  I do, however, also have an odd facination with Warhol.  Odd, I know.

I love to take pictures and have finally given in to the technological age.  I now shoot with a Nikon D80 perdominately, however still have the oldies but goodies around, including the Nimslo 3D camera.
